ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHERS
Photographers are the backbone of PhotoDocket.com. The steps are simple and the rewards are great! Once you have registered, choose the My Photo button. You will be brought to a page that explains some simple tips and ideas to make it easier to sell your photographs; as well as the Terms and Conditions. Once you have read and understand the information provided there for you, download the Photographer Event Report and the Photographer Checklist to bring to with you to the scene, then start uploading photographs. You will need to register for a paging service so that you will know when there is an accident in your area. You will respond to the accident and take photographs of the scene (i.e. the vehicles involved, rescue workers removing people from vehicles, etc.). Please note: PhotoDocket.com is not limited to just traffic crashs, you can respond to any accident you feel necessary. You will then upload those photographs to PhotoDocket.com's server. We will then do our part to sell your photographs the insurance companies and lawyers involved. Once they purchase the photographs that you took you will get paid for those photographs that have been purchased.
WHY IT WORKS
On scene photographs are invaluable to insurance companies and lawyers. Your photographs may help to prevent insurance fraud. Your photographs of the vehicles involved may help the insurance companies and lawyers determine if the claimed damage is possible. Photographs of such things as the position of the vehicles at rest, skid marks, area of damage to a vehicle, condition of the victims on the scene can say a lot about a case. They may help to prove or disprove injuries. A photograph of an injured party being removed from their vehicle by rescue workers may help prove an injury exists. The location of the damage on a vehicle and the position of the vehicles at rest may help to prove who is at fault. These photographs can speak volumes in an effort to arrive at a just decision in court or during negotiations between the parties. Photographers are encouraged to use their skills to preserve the accident scene as they find it and to look not only at the obvious but also at things like skid marks, climate conditions, direction of travel etc. These things may help to determine the facts of the case and make your photographs more marketable.
